My brother’s idea of fun is to have a nature hike.

At 10am, my brother and I picked up his gf and headed to Vallejo.  I’d prefer going to San Francisco instead by they’re closing this weekend for reconstruction (I think).  The drive to San Rafael was long and dull; nothing to be excited about.  When we reached Point Reyes, we stopped by the Lil’ Shorty Food place.  We bought bread, tuna salad dressing, and duck pate.  Point Reyes or Marin or __ (this place seems to have multiple names, I’m not quite sure which is which) is a little tourist town where all the little stores are next to each other with a mini market.  Finally, we started our hike at Bear Trail Head (?) at 2:30pm.  Apparently, this is a historical place where the people who first came to America stayed at and established a trade.  It was all trees, trees, and trees.  Great nature indeed.  Our destination was about 4 miles away.  It seemed unlikely to me that a place like this would lead us to a beach.  This whole experience reminded me of Sly Park when we took a 5 mi hike to the lake.  This was far worse.  When we reached Arch Rock, we stayed at the top of the rock looking down at the beach.  There were a few people there too, and everyone was silence staring at the beach.  It was really nice.

Just above the sea gull next to us, you can see the trail we took to get here

Then, we climbed our way down to the see the arch.  People said it’s easier to walk down hill then walk up.  In this case, climbing down the rocks was a lot harder than climbing up.  The arch was quite a view.

Yep, that’s the little arch.

We headed out to the parking lot which was another 4 miles.  I’ve never walked this much before and my feet were incredibly sored. -_-;; We headed back home around 6-7pm and went to Korean Oz for dinner. (ah I love Korean food.)  So, the hike was a good 8 miles long and it took us 4 hours to go there and back.  Yep, I don’t think I ever want to go back again unless we take the bikes haha.
