Mushishi ep.1

anime/manga

They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".

The Green Chair

I really like the animation, but the mushi part is a bit confusing.  This anime is unique and pretty creative itself.  The little boy named Ioroi Shinra has the ability to make whatever he draws/writes come alive.  The mushishi, Ginko (the white hair guy), came to see Shinra to do an investigation on his ability, but he got turn down.  However, Shinra let Ginko stay for a night since he came all the way to the mountain to see him.  At night, Ginko wandered off in the house and found a female ghost.  The ghost turned out to be Renzu, Shinra’s grandma, and she’s became a half mushi.  Apparently when Renzu was young, she encountered a group of mushis who made her drink this wine that would eventually turn her into a mushi.  I don’t get this whole Mushi Banquet and impersonating humans.  So does this mean Shinra was the one who created these mushi from the begining?  Probably not, he must be one of those who has the same ability since mushi did exist before he was born.  Gahh, haha I don’t know.  I guess I’ll continue the with the series, and it’s a total of 26 ep. Not bad.
