heart walk
lifeToday was the 15th Annual Heart Walk and this was my very first kc event last year. I woke up at 4:30am, and my bro took Lena and I to William Land Park. (This was also my first time being project captain =D) It was still dark when we got there and we just helped people set up tables and reload boxes. Melody, Liz, and Maricela came to walk help haha. Julianne, Lena, and I were assigned to help at the ice cream table right next to the stage. I gotta give props to the ice cream men. You seriously need muscle for this job haha. The guy just dropped off four different flavors of Vic’s ice cream and a mini fridge and left haha. At first, not a lot of people came by for ice cream since it was still early in the morning (8-9ish). After people came back from the walk, there was a long ass line at the ice cream table haha. It was so hectic we called for backups. There was at least eight of us who worked on the ice cream. People went crazy for the mocha and chocolate mint. I seriously never tried chocolate mint before; I wish i did then. The popular ice creams were harder to scoop because they were still very frozen, so that made our job very exhausting. We also did a lot of walking around, spinning the wheels, and collecting free items. Everyone got 10+ Jamba Juice gift cards, sun protection wipes, foods, drinks, etc. Around 12, we began clearing the VIP section and putting down the tables and chairs. Melody took all four ice cream boxes! lmao. We were planning to walk to HK Wok to eat, but we decided to cross the street and eat at a burger joint. Ford Burger - highly recommended. Then my bro picked us up and we came back to my house.

Lena and I will likely start our club soon or some day. If not, our own business. Haha I seriously don’t know how this going to work, but we’re pretty zealous about it.
haha i like this entry…dude ur friends are soo cool…i had hella fun yesterday i like doing commmunity service with u…going to the walk next weekend? i think i will actually walk for that….oh and it was fun doin the ice cream business…i only took 2 ice cream thingys home! not all 4! lol sheesh gimme some type of credit lol oh i took the cones and napkins home too…i cud be azn if i wanted to be lol jk =D

i think this year’s was better than last year. i mean, we were charge of the ice cream! what could be better than that? hehe. but yeah, it was tiring work and somewhat tedious scooping all that ice cream.
i love your dog’s extreme affection for me and Lena.
