i’ve been a pretty conservative person for the past 3 years now after watching the documentary on global warming. sure, what i do is microscopic considering the rest of the world is neglecting the environmental changes. i watched My Name is Earl last thursday, and that episode really hit on the main points. whatever you do, the rest of the world will cancel you out. so what about locally? it may seems hopeless and pointless to "save the world", but it doesn’t hurt to try. one of my pet peeves is when people don’t turn off the lights when they leave a room. taking an hour to shower doesn’t make you any more clean than a 5 minute shower. why leave electronics on for 24/7? you have tons of bottles, papers, and/or cans, so RECYCLE them. why drive to school when you leave 5 minutes from school? CARPOOL/WALK. and the hummers -_- freakin’ hummers..just egg them all. i just get pissed off thinking about it. i want to see more changes around here. i notice there’s this vegetarian/vegan movement thing going on now and it’s quite popular around here. if these people can control themselves and change for the sake of an animal’s life, why is the green movement taking so long to progress? i’m pretty sure we’re not a minority, but we need a bigger voice.

Mygosh, why such a long title? I guess we’ll just call it Bakumatsu. This series is taking a while to get sub, but I’ll be patient since I stop watching Bleach. Anyways, Bakumatsu turns out pretty good. The character designs are top-notch. Hehe I love the main character (Youjiro Akidzuki); his blue eyes and hair are pretty hot 8D. However, everything seems so complicated. At first there was this guy drinking on a boat and then it switched to three guys fighting for a scroll. Honestly, I don’t really get what is going so far especially that ball in the end, but the action scenes make it worth watching. It does remind me of Samurai Champloo because of the whole samurai thing. Well, I really have nothing else to watch besides this. I was expecting more this fall, but I got lazy. I managed to watch two episodes of D. Gray Man; I might continue that later. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten a chance to watch DN yet. I’ll probably start when more episodes come out. As for now, Bakumatsu will keep me from boredom =)

"Lyrically it’s about the changing relationship between two old friends. People that haven’t seen each other in a long time, coming together, and then drifting apart again.

Have you ever known someone for so long that even though it’s been years, when you hang out, you can’t help but slip right back into how you were when you grew up together as teenagers?

You want them to be as they were, as we were, but who they are now competes with your memory, and for some reason it’s dissapointing to you. In this case, it’s a fall from grace in the sense that one person is involved in something the other believes is ‘Not Right’.

Sometimes it seems they both know it, but still nothing changes. How can you express concern to someone who seems to like being where they are regardless of whether it is good for them or not? It’s never your place to say it anyway, so you put it in a song instead

I like the way the music sort of disintegrates at the end, frustrated and tired and not really resolving itself, other than to just stop trying."

Is there a better way to put it? This is so predestrian in life that it’s a quite sad. At the same time it makes you realize your friends right now may be strangers to you the next day. In a positive way, I guess you can just take it easy with your friendships. Cherish it but don’t become too attach that it’s hard to let go. Isn’t it a bit discouraging? I remember it was really hard for me to say goodbye to my friends when I had to move in 7th grade. My parents kept telling that I’ll meet new friends elsewhere. I had to move again in 8th grade and had to leave my friends. Another same old speech. "You’ll make new friends in high school." They were right. Begining of freshmen year, I stopped letting the little things get in the way of my friendships. I pretty much stopped caring. If this is how my friendships will be (good or bad), I’ll look at it the same way. Hah, easy said than done, but it makes life a bit easier. Well, I shall leave it as that, talking about too much is somewhat a contradiction.

Anyways, the main point of this post is that I can’t stop listening to Details Hurt My Mind’s soundtrack, and Not Right is currently stuck in my head. =)

Cute pianist ^_^. Second band was alright. The singer was telling people in the back to move up and start swinging. He made it worse for us because everyone was getting so close that my foot got trapped in between people feet haha.

We had to wait for a while for Jack’s Mannequin to come out. After 5-10min, Andrew finally appeared on stage, and the crowd just went crazy. He actually looked the same from the last time I saw him (on stage). I’m not sure what was the correct order of the songs, but the first song was Bruised =). Andrew sang all of the songs from his album except for three songs. One was relatively new, the other one was the song dedicated to his sister, Kate, and the last one was a cover song which he listened to when he was little. During that time, Min and I was able to pushed our way up to the front. Well, it wasn’t exactly the front front, but close enough to get a good view of the band especially Andrew. Everyone sang along to pretty much all of the songs, and so did I =]. It was so fun when people started jumping up and down and raising their hands. One of the guitarist had an electrical cello haha that was pretty tight. Overall, it was one of heck of a performance.

Andrew Mcmahon <3

clip 1 :: clip 2 (Dark Blue)
It ended around 11pm, and the crowd just dispersed to the back of the room. I finally spotted Becca as well as Krsytle, Greg, Annie, and Janelle. This was just like Something Corporate concert except we were missing some people. People started leaving, but Becca, Krystle, Min, and I stayed behind and waited from Andrew. Krystle had connections haha. So she was the first one in to see Andrew and gave him her gift. Becca and Min got this obsession with Kenny Cho ahah so they were occupied with that. Becca and Min attempted to make a last minute gift for Andrew haha. Making a paper plane and star out of newspaper. Afterward, we followed people inside to see Andrew. I took a picture with him, and he signed my poster ^__^. Around 11:30 we started heading outside to wait for our rides. Becca and Min tried to tear off the Jack’s Mannequin sign in the front haha. Seriously these two… xD. My brother picked us up right after, and I got home at exactly 1am.

Hehe.

Minjeonggg, Becca & Krystle

I can’t believe I was having doubts about going to the concert. The day actually went according to plan ahah what a surprise that was. If I were to miss this, I would get so angry at myself haha. So what happened in the crowd?

it got pretty hot and sweaty as people constantly pushing each other

the speakers were so loud that your eardrums might just pop at any moment

people stepping on your feet

their big long hair blocking your view

two guys in front of us were getting too intimate

singing so loud and out of tune that our throats were sore (or at least mine was)

we can’t barely walked at the end after standing in the same position for almost four hours

Yea, It was all worth it.
